Nicole Almeida, MD



Dr. Almeida is an Assistant Professor at Emory School of Medicine and Board Certified in general Psychiatry and in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She joined the faculty in August 2012 following her training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Miami where she also researched Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Dr. Almeida earned a B.S. in Psychology and Biology from University of Miami, and then completed her medical degree from Ross. She trained in general psychiatry in West Virginia University.

Her areas of focus include treating children and adolescents with attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), mood, anxiety and autism spectrum disorders. Originally from Brazil, Dr. Almeida has a particular interest in cultural diversity and works with patients in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
