Cynthia L. Ramirez, PhD


Dr. Ramirez received her B.A. in Psychology from Duke University in 1997 and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan in 2003. She was a professor of psychology at Universidad San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador, until 2008, when she returned to the U.S. and became a postdoctoral fellow at Emory. She joined the faculty at Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, in 2011.

Dr. Ramirez specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy with adolescents and young adults. Her research interests include empirically supported treatment for depressed, anxious, and/or emotionally dysregulated adolescents and Latino mental health issues. Dr. Ramirez is fluent in Spanish.
